National Socialism And The Klan A White Paper On Our Developing Relationship 3/27/2006 3:55:34 PM Discuss this story in the forum Bill White Commentary -- As it has grown, the National Socialist Movement has begun to both absorb and influence a number of organizations not traditionally associated with the National Socialist ideal. Among these organizations we can number the nation’s various Ku Klux Klans, and other radical racialist patriot movements. With this increasing contact and interaction between our organizations, challenges have emerged that require us to look at our policies and our strategy for further development of our relationship with these organizations. The intent of this paper is to discuss the current state of the Ku Klux Klan in the United States, to highlight the challenges the National Socialist Movement is facing in dealing with these organizations, and provide guidelines for National Socialist Movement members to follow in interacting with and speaking to and about the country’s various Klan groupings. The Modern Ku Klux Klan 2006 finds the Ku Klux Klan in the United States badly fractured and divided into groups which often vary widely as to their internal composition and character. Founded as a movement to restore the constitutional rights of Southern citizens who find their rights taken from them by act of Congress in the aftermath of the Civil War, and then revived as a radical Protestant- Methodist fraternal society in the early 20th century, the Klan enjoyed a revival as a native resistance movement to Northern and Jewish directed Civil Rights in the 1960s before being largely taken over by David Duke in the 1970s and 1980s. Duke’s take over of the movement, and his subsequent abandonment of it, left the Klan largely disorganized in the late 1980s and early 1990s, leading to the emergence of new organizations claiming the Klan mantle in the mid to late 1990s. Most of the Klan groups we encounter today were founded during that period. The Ku Klux Klan faces the same challenges that other white nationalist organizations face, and its lack of a national structure and national standards has created wide gulfs in how individual klaverns respond to these challenges. Some Klan organizations maintain very high personal standards for their members; others have become havens for criminals and ex-cons. All Klan organizations tend to be very religious, and almost all subscribe strongly to Christian Identity; there is wide variance, however, in their view of their relationship to non-Christian white organizations. Most Klan organizations put the defense of the US Constitution above the defense of the race – or see the two as synonymous issues; there is a wide variance among the Klans as to their willingness to accept, consider, or tolerate non-Constitutional white nationalist viewpoints. The constant threat of violence during public assemblies has also molded the nature of Klan organizations, compelling many of them to become essentially private social groups or to assume the nature of churches. The constant factional fighting among Klansmen has also led to an organizational structure focused on numerous charismatic individuals – and this structure has, reciprocally, increased the factionalization of the Klan. Among many Klan groups, individual personality is more important than ideological unity, and this, combined with the fact that these charismatic individuals refuse to take a secondary role in their dealings with each other, tends to reduce inter-Klan cooperation. The National Socialist Movement has faced and transcended many of these obstacles, and there is much we can do to assist the Klan movement in developing its role as a leader of white resistance to the current Jewish tyranny in America. Because of the differences between National Socialism and traditional Klan ideology, our focus should be on developing a powerful ally in the Klan, rather than absorption of the Klan and its base. Challenges Organizing Among the Klan As outlined in the above summary of the Klan’s current condition, the National Socialist Movement faces a number of challenges when organizing among Klansmen, which have been ordered in terms of perceived obstruction: • The charismatic and personality, rather than ideologically, driven leadership of individual Klans. • The intensely religious and Christian Identity-driven nature of the Klan versus the political nature of National Socialism • The reactionary and “patriotic” centralism of the US Constitution to the Klan, versus the nature of the National Socialist state. • The resistance of many Klansmen to “taking to the streets”, because of threats of Jewish violence. • The presence of unethical and criminal personalities in Klan groups, some of which are hostile to or which have been previously expelled from the National Socialist Movement. National Socialist Approaches To Klan Organizing In light of these problems, the National Socialist Movement must consider what our goals are in developing our Klan allies and how we can approach the challenges the unique nature of the Klan presents. In particular: • The National Socialist Movement should encourage greater cooperation among Klan organizations, to make the groups less personality driven and more ideologically centered. This will likely involve meeting with Klan leaders in a non-public setting and discussing their differences and how they can each enjoy more of those things which drive their personality – feelings of leadership, public and media attention, et cetera – through cooperation rather than through competition. Resolution of serious ideological and theological differences, where these occur, will be necessary as well. Fostering a spirit of toleration for different white philosophical viewpoints, where these viewpoints lead to no different practical conclusions, is important. • We need to develop an “inter-faith dialogue” with the Klan, so to speak, and bring its leadership into greater contact with non-Christian- Identity and non-Christian white activists to further a spirit of toleration of these religious differences – where they are sincerely held. Klan meetings often take on the air of church meetings – one charismatic preacher quotes extensively from the Bible and delivers a sermon to the rest. We need to show Klan leaders that practical organizing is as important as faith in developing a political, social, cultural, or religious movement – after all, Yeshua helps those who help themselves. There are Klan leaders who insist that the National Socialist Movement cannot succeed unless Yeshua and Yahweh are behind it. From their perspective, religion and politics may be inseparable. However, this position is much more often the result of individual Klan leaders who feel their personal power is threatened by the growth of the National Socialist Movement than by real religious conviction. Those who seek converts should be encouraged to support the National Socialist Movement because, after all, with so many points of agreement, one could hardly find a better section of the unconverted for them to bring their message to. We should also explore ways in which we can express the National Socialist message in a Christian or Christian-Identity context which Klan audiences are more used to absorbing. Several Klansmen have pointed out that the traditional Israelite way of living is more like a National Socialist racial- state than a modern Constitutional Republic, and the development of these themes in our literature for Klansmen and other Christian Identity adherents may be important. It is also important for the National Socialist Movement to stress our neutrality in these religious issues which divide and injure our people. For many Klansmen, the racial struggle, and the concrete political, social, and economic struggle against the Jew, takes primacy over the conversion of other racial activists. Building unity on these lines is, of course, the most obvious, and, probably in the long run, the most useful tool in our belt. • The National Socialist opposition to so-called “Constitutionalism” and “Patriotism” leads to some clashes between the National Socialist Movement and the Klan worldviews. In dealing with this debate, it is important that National Socialist have a strong grip on history to both understand the Klan position – perhaps better than some Klansmen do, and arguing persuasively for the National Socialist state. First, we must remember and understand the differences between our socialism and Jewish Bolshevism. We are national in nature, and we are based on the development of our people. Jewish socialism was always international in nature, and focused on developing Jewish ascendancy over the non-Jewish people which it ruled. We are a creative movement, while Jews have always sought nothing but destruction. Our socialism is the gearing of the economy and the political system towards the benefit of society, whereas Jewish socialism is inherently anti-social. Many Klansmen still hold negative views of National Socialism from their experience with anti-German World War II propaganda. We must show them how National Socialism was a bulwark for white Europe against Jewish Bolshevism, and how National Socialism’s fight against the Soviet Union saved the Western Democracies which they value. We must also discuss the betrayal of the Western Democracies by their Jewish Fifth Column, who allied with the Soviet Union and led to the war of Jewish capitalism and Jewish communism. In attacking the capitalist system, we must link Jewish capitalism with the Jewish globalism that is currently undermining and decimating white working class communities across the country. We must show that the system of international finance capital, American and British capitalism, and modern globalist internationalism are not only the same system, but all manifestations of the same Bolshevik spirit which motivated the Soviet Union and the Jewish communist “Civil Rights” movement. In discussing the US Constitution, we must understand the historical context in which Klan Constitutionalism came about. In the aftermath of the Civil War, white Southerners lost the right to vote, to have cases heard in court, to be secure in their lives or their property, and were often subject to atrocities by black militiamen under white Yankee control. One Congressman even introduced legislation to strip white Southerners of the right to own property. In this context, Constitutionalism and the restoration of both voting and civil rights was seen as a moderate and reasonable demand. Further, all of these demands for rights occurred in the context of a political system which, in 1883, declared un-Constitutional a Civil Rights Bill virtually identical to the Civil Rights Acts of 1964, and its successors, which Americans live under today. The modern “Constitution”-based legal system is not the Constitutional system of the late 19th century which the Klan sought to restore. It is not even the Constitutional system of the early 20th century that recognized the legal legitimacy of segregation. The modern “American” legal system is unrecognizable when compared to the racial legal systems of the past. More importantly, America, culturally, is not the America of the past. Cultural poisoning of the US population by Jewish-dominated media has led to an America where cultural aberrations still viewed as atrocities in most of the world – such as homosexual marriages – can be seen as normal by a significant minority of the population. This, plus the extensive subversion of the US political system by former communist activists now calling themselves “neo-conservatives” has created a real threat of the complete collapse of the United States into a Bolshevik- styled rule – the bare traces of which can be seen in the club-wielding mobs, generally protected by the media and the state – which attack white-oriented demonstrations in this country. Such a threat of Jewish subversion is similar to the threat experienced by Weimar Germany in the inter-bellum period, and demands emergency measures similar to those imposed by the German National Socialist government. We must not allow theoretical concerns about “rights” or any form of legalism to stop us from excising the Jewish cancers of multi-culturalism and diversity from our racial-cultural whole. This will necessitate actions which are not compatible with the values of the United States Constitution, including the denial of “freedom of religion” to subversive groups such as the Jews and their various Christian-Zionist lackeys, the denial of “freedom of speech” and “freedom of assembly” to those opposed to the racial nationalist state, the denial of “gun rights” to America’s black and Hispanic minorities, if no one else, and the creation of new types of detention and rehabilitation options – such as re-reduction and rehabilitation through labor – that will seem alien to the US system (though the United States, through programs such as “private prisons” and the various forms of “therapy” forced on certain classes of prisoners, does essentially the same thing today, though in a much less drastic and comprehensive form than what we envision.) These ideas should not be so difficult to present to the Klan, as “Constitutionalism”, for many of their members, consists of little more than cherry-picking the Constitution to meet their personal needs and either demanding the repeal of other Amendments or pretending such Amendments are legally invalid – very similar to the tactics used in the “patriot” movement. Besides the obvious ideological stands, pointing out the corrupt nature of the much of the Patriot movement’s ideology – which is not difficult since it has become a harbor for snake oils salesmen of all kinds – and generally bringing such devotions into question may be a useful tool along these lines. • The National Socialist Movement should encourage Klans to be more active and more public in their activities. It is true that Klan organizations face certain legal repressions that National Socialists do not – such as legal bars on clandestine organizations or on the wearing of masks in public. The National Socialist Movement should encourage Klansmen to be more assertive in taking legal action to overturn these outdated and likely, in the modern context, un-Constitutional bans. However, the main objections to public activities of the Klan come primarily from the egos of their leaders and their fear of their members that surround these activities. Many Klan leaders feel a sense of personal embarrassment leading their often massively outnumbered members into a public place where they are faced with a hostile crowd. They find these encounters demoralizing. Many Klan leaders also lack the personal courage or confrontational personality necessary to demonstrate effective leadership in these situations, and they fear that these situations heighten awareness of their shortcomings. The lack of cooperation between Klan groups feed into this. Klan groups based in the same area often refuse to participate in each others’ activities, both because of their leaders’ fear that members may mix and that their personal status in the Klan may be reduced because of that, and because of personality conflicts between those leaders. The development of cooperation between Klan leaders who are sympathetic to National Socialism would hopefully ameliorate these objections, in part. The National Socialist Movement should also support and help develop Klan leaders who have the personal characteristics necessary for conducting these kind of public activities. The example of the National Socialist Movement in holding successful confrontational activities is also important, as its effect in both spurring Klan-NSM cooperation and developing an admiration and demand for such activities among Klansmen has recently become clear. • The failure of some Klan groups, and the Klan community in general, to effective police themselves and eliminate from their ranks criminal and defective members – and even leaders – within their movement necessitates that the National Socialist Movement provide our full support to Klan leaders whom we know to be honest and of good character, while using our media to isolate and expose those within the Klan whose continued involvement in white activism is not desirable. Recently, we have seen a small number of Klan leaders who either feel threatened by the presence of National Socialist Movement speakers and recruiters at Klan meetings, or who have personal conflicts with the National Socialist Movement, attempting to spur divisions between Klan groups. Recently, the Cleveland Knights of the Ku Klux Klan split over the issue of continued relations with the National Socialist Movement, and another national Klan group has made disparaging statements about National Socialism, allegedly on ideological grounds, because of the personal interests of several of its leaders, who number among them expelled ex-NSM members. By developing good will among the members, maintaining our own high ethical standards, and continuing to set an example in the white movement for party discipline and good governance, we can isolate these small voices. These undesirable elements rarely manage to have a sustainable presence among white nationalist – David Duke and his clique being perhaps the most notable exception to that rule. Just as the National Socialist Movement has overcome our opponents among the remnants of the National Alliance through our superior organization, the high character of our leaders, and their results in our superior action in the streets, we can overcome opponents within various Klan groups the same way. Conclusions The National Socialist Movement and the Ku Klux Klan should exist in a symbiotic, rather than confrontational, relationship. It is clear from our recent dealings with Klan leaders that many Klan leaders desire continued interaction and support from National Socialism. Because of the differences between our groups, it is critical that we foster an inter-group dialogue and develop a common language and common terms upon which our organizations can meet. The religious style of the Klan and the political style of National Socialism are complementary, and we should not allow the undesirable types who hover on the fringes of white nationalism to break this unity. It is in the interest of the National Socialist Movement to develop a united, powerful and national socialist friendly Klan movement, and we should direct our interactions with the Klan towards that goal. ----- Emailed to you by: Libertarian Socialist News ATTN: Bill White, Editor Post Office Box 8631 Roanoke, VA 24014 http://www.overthrow.com dhyphen@yahoo.com
